We are a natural self-tan brand that not only prides itself as being Certified Organic, Australian Made and Toxic Free (as certified by the Australian Toxic Free Organisation) but is also certified by the Australian Cruelty Free Association. This means our tanning products and key fake tan ingredients are not and will never be the result of animal cruelty.

Absolutely! For a self-tan or natural gradual tan product to be ‘Certified Organic’, it must contain a minimum of 70 per cent organic ingredients, and the rest of the tan must be all natural. At Three Warriors, we have designed our tanning products to meet the ‘Certified Organic’ guidelines, including: Organic Gradual Tan, organic Self Tanning Mousse, organic Face Tan Drops, organic Face Tan Water and more. In addition to being certified by the Organic Food Chain (OFC), we are also certified by the Toxic Free Safe Cosmetics Australia . This means all our Three Warriors organic self tan products are free range, cruelty-free, socially responsible, sourced without genetic modifications, hormones, antibiotics, synthetic pesticides and herbicides.

Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is a colourless sugar derived from natural plants. When applied to the skin, it reacts with amino acids in dead skin cells on the outer layer (stratum corneum), producing a temporary brown pigment, giving you that sun-kissed glow without UV exposure.

The key difference between certified organic and natural is that for a tanning product to be recognised as ‘Certified Organic’, the organic tan must have at least 70 per cent of ingredients (as mentioned above) and the remaining ingredients must be natural. Whereas any self tan or gradual tan brand can claim to be a ‘natural tan’ even if only a few key ingredients are natural. This one is all down to you and the self-tan product you choose to use! All of our Three Warriors tanning products can last a while, depending on how regularly you choose to apply them.

The Three Warriors Gradual Tan works to develop over time and can be worn every day for a slow, steady natural tan progression. Keep applying daily for an ongoing glow. If you would rather not apply daily, the Three Warriors Self Tanning Mousse needs only 1-2 applications (depending on how deep you wish to go with your tan) and will last approximately seven days.

The Hydrabronze Face Tan Drops provide a long-lasting, natural tan that lasts around 3-5 days, giving you a beautiful, sun-kissed glow. You can also apply this daily if you want.

No, the Hydrabronze Tan Drops won’t stain your clothing or sheets, ensuring a mess-free application

So you like to work up a sweat? Doesn’t mean you can’t boast a golden glow while you do it! All our Three Warriors natural fake tan products are designed to ensure you get the best faux glow, minus a patchy fake tan or patchy spray tan look. 

While we do our best to ensure the tanning products are of the highest quality, organic tan ingredients, sometimes, sweating after a spray tan or a patchy spray tan happens. Be it clothes rubbing against a fresh spray tan or a little post-exercise sweat, patchy fake tan can happen. To make sure it doesn’t, we recommend wearing dark clothes, minimal undergarments while it’s drying (if possible!) and shower to wash off the fake tan residue before exercising! As natural and organic tan products, Three Warriors not only uses the highest quality natural ingredients, but our self tan doesn’t contain the same toxic chemicals that usually appear in tanning products, instead using plant and vegetable-derived ingredients. 

What does this mean? With non-toxic pigments used, it’s a lot less likely to transfer to clothes and sheets. However, we recommend wearing loose and dark clothing while the tan develops, just to be on the safe side!

The same goes for sheets; if any tanning products do transfer to sheets or clothing, be assured that our ingredients are water soluble and should wash out - no staining agents are in the products.

No, the Hydrabronze Tan Drops are formulated specifically for the face, neck, and décolletage, where the skin is more delicate and requires lighter, skincare-focused ingredients. For your body, we recommend using our tanning mousse or gradual tan for an even, long-lasting glow.

At Three Warriors, we get that our warriors often lead an active, Australian beach lifestyle, so by all means, go for a swim in your tan. However, be mindful that most gradual tan, self tan and spray tan solutions won’t last longer than 5-10 days. And often, swimming in your tan can shorten your lifespan.

Why? Because skin cells shed every 10 days, and as skin cells shed, so too does your faux glow (aka fake tan). Be it heavy sweating from exercise, water, or chlorine from the pool - all will naturally dry out your skin and make skin cells shed more quickly. This means that natural self tan won’t last as long. So do your best to moisturise daily and then hit refresh weekly using our Tasmanian Sand Scrub to scrub, tan, repeat all Summer long!

At Three Warriors, we’re committed to giving you a golden glow and natural self tan every time. But, sometimes if you’ve been a little lax on scrubbing (exfoliating), then a streaky tan can happen. If you wake up to a streaky tan or streaky spray tan happens, don’t panic, we’ve got you!

The best thing to do to remove self tan  is to use a small amount of body exfoliator (such as our Three Warriors Tasmanian Sand Scrub) and gently massage it on the areas where you see excess pigment or the streaky tan appearing, and allow it to slowly melt away the lines, allowing a natural tan to evolve.

Your tan will naturally fade over time. For a consistent glow, reapply every 5-7 days, or as often as you like to maintain your preferred depth of color. If you’d prefer a deeper shade, you can apply more frequently/daily to layer the tan.
